Mother Nature
A few years ago this field was farmed. Mother Nature has taken it back and it is now full of different plants and wildlife. A lovely place to walk the dog and next to my house.

I was very pleased to receive a PAGB ribbon for one of my arty prints "Peace Bridge". You can see the image further down in my blog.
Walled Garden
Used some art software on this image of the walled garden in Bangor. You need to be careful not to over use it. It has received a number of likes on Facebook.

Swans at Mount Stewart
I spotted these photographers capturing images of the swan family at Mount Stewart. I was surprised how close they were able to get to the swans.

Bundoran
Bundoran beach, County Donegal. Taken on a not very good day as the light wasn't great but you can't leave a scene without a shot or two.

All geared up
Just got this great new geared head from Manfrotto. Great for close ups or precise levelling for landscapes.

Whitehead
Here's a panoramic view of Whitehead, County Antrim which is full of colour. It was taken from the end of a pier near the car park and tidied up in Photoshop as there was the remains of a crumbling wall in the right of shot. More photos on www.johnmckernan.org

Giants Causeway
Another photo art print. This time, the Giants Causeway. This shot was taken from where the shuttle bus drops you off and you walk through the gap and around the coastal path. As it was busy, there were people walking through the gap so I had to photoshop them out before converting to an art print.
Duluce Castle, Co. Antrim
I've had several tries at this shot and the weather has always been against me with rain or lifeless skies or the sun at the wrong angle. I'll keep trying!

2nd Placed print in National Competition
I was well chuffed last night not only getting a starred print but also to get second place. With 29 clubs from all over Northern Ireland taking part there were 116 prints in the mono section and some fantastic prints amongst them.

Iconic Belfast Cranes
These iconic cranes, Samson and Goliath sit at the entrance to Belfast harbour and Titanic quarter. The car ferry gives them a sense of scale.
